Nelson Ladd 
Nelson was born in New Kent Co., VA. Nelson's father was William Ladd and his mother was Mary Crew. His paternal grandparents were William Ladd and Mary ?. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John C., Joseph, James, William, Elizabeth, Elvira, Martha and Mary Jane. He died before June 1st, 1857.-
