Eva Jane was born on January 22nd, 1928 in Scottsville, Fluvanna Co., VA. Eva Jane's father was Clarence Wingo Kidd and her mother was Mary Isabella Marshall. Her paternal grandparents were James Taylor Kidd and Ella Gray Richardson; her maternal grandparents were John Marshall and Lydia Helena McDannell. She had a brother and three sisters, named Clarence Thurston, Viola Bernice, Vera Marjorie and Clara Mae. She was the youngest of the five children.-
