Richard Washington Carter 
Richard Washington was born on January 1st, 1811. Richard Washington's father was Henry Fauntleroy Carter and his mother was Mary Thompson. His paternal grandparents were John Champe Carter and Apphia Fauntleroy; his maternal grandparents were John Thompson and Rebecca Edwards Powell. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Wilson Merrill, Lewis Marion, William George, Elvira and Eveline. He died at the age of 68 on September 3rd, 1879. He was buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, VA.-
