Lewis Marion Carter 
Lewis Marion was born on October 31st, 1814. Lewis Marion's father was Henry Fauntleroy Carter and his mother was Mary Thompson. His paternal grandparents were John Champe Carter and Apphia Fauntleroy; his maternal grandparents were John Thompson and Rebecca Edwards Powell. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Wilson Merrill, Richard Washington, William George, Elvira and Eveline. He died at the age of 71 on April 21st, 1886. He was buried in Hollywood Cemetary, Richmond, VA.-
