James Monroe Carter 
James Monroe was born in 1855 in Louisa Co., VA. James Monroe's father was Wilson Merrill Carter and his mother was Frances Ann Ross. His paternal grandparents were Henry Fauntleroy Carter and Mary Thompson; his maternal grandparents were David Ross and Frances ?. He had a brother and a sister, named George D. and Theodosia Virginia. He was the oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry, Richard Wilson, Lewis M. and Susan E.. He died at the age of 28 on October 17th, 1883. He was buried in Hollywood Cemetary, Richmond, VA.-
