John Lewis Carroll

John Lewis was born on October 19th, 1823.¹   John Lewis' father was John Carroll and his mother was Mary Perkins.  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Carroll and Tabitha Reynolds; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Perkins and Elizabeth Price. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named James Owen, John, Andrew, William George, Charles, George H., Charles Henry, Sarah Perkins, Mary Susan and Eliza Jane.  He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 57 in 1880.
