David S. Butler 
David S. was born in June 1835. David S.'s father was Hezikiah Butler and his mother was Susan Haley Harlow. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Butler and Pricilla Anthony; his maternal grandparents were Charles Harlow and Mary Crews. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel O., Andrew J., Charles Henry, Stephen William, Martha, Elizabeth, Ann, Mary E., Delilah Frances, Cinthia and Mildred Susan. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died after 1900 in Page Co., Virginia.General Notes
1860 Louisa Co., Virginia census lists as a master bricklayer.
Enlisted 13th Virginia Infantry, CSA during Civil War. Listed as 5'10" tall with a dark complexion, blue eyes and dark hair. Took Oath of Amnesty at City Point Prison, Washington, D.C. after capture & was sent to Columbus, Ohio.
