Benjamin was born about 1766 in Amelia Co., VA. Benjamin's father was Edmund Borum and his mother was Edith Seay. His paternal grandparents were Richard Borum and Judith ?; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Seay and Rachel Wingo. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William Richard, Jacob, James, John Wilson, Mary and Sarah.
