Alva Blankenship 
Alva was born about 1877. Alva's father was Leslie Combs Blankenship and her mother was Martha Elizabeth Scott. Her paternal grandparents were Rowland Blankenship and Martha Butler. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Dio, Herman, Ray, Lena, Vernie, Saddie, Tellie and Lavonia. She was the second oldest of the ten children.-
