James Ashby Armistead

James Ashby was born on October 11th, 1869. James Ashby's father was Drury Lacy Armistead and his mother was Martha Elizabeth Parrish. His paternal grandparents were James Anderson Armistead and Elizabeth D. Howard; his maternal grandfather was George S. Parrish. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert Parrish, Drury Lacy, Howard Lee, Allie May and Susie Ligon. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 80 on February 24th, 1950 in Farmville, Prince Edward Co., VA.
