James Anderson Armistead 
James Anderson was born on August 12th, 1793. James Anderson's father was John Armistead and his mother was Mary Ann Spencer. His paternal grandparents were William Armistead and Frances ?; his maternal grandfather was Sharp Spencer. He had three brothers named William S., Thomas S. and John H.. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 82 on May 10th, 1876.-
