Howard Lee was born on June 22nd, 1874. Howard Lee's father was Drury Lacy Armistead and his mother was Martha Elizabeth Parrish. His paternal grandparents were James Anderson Armistead and Elizabeth D. Howard; his maternal grandfather was George S. Parrish. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James Ashby, Robert Parrish, Drury Lacy, Allie May and Susie Ligon. He was the third youngest of the six children.-
