John Fitz was born in 1240 in Shere, Surrey, , England.1 John Fitz's father was John Fitzgeoffrey and his mother was *Isabel Le Bigod. His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey Fitz Piers Earl of Essex and *Aveline De Clare; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Le Bigod and Maud Marshall. He had four sisters named Isabel Fitz, Maud, Aveline and Joan. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 35 on November 6th, 1275.1 -
