Aveline was born in 1248 in Shere, Surrey, , England.1 Aveline's father was John Fitzgeoffrey and her mother was *Isabel Le Bigod. Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey Fitz Piers Earl of Essex and *Aveline De Clare; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Le Bigod and Maud Marshall. She had a brother and three sisters, named John Fitz, Isabel Fitz, Maud and Joan. She was the second youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 26 on May 20th, 1274 in Dunmow Priory, Essex, , England.1 -
