Daniel Randolph was born on November 14th, 1843 in Georgia. Daniel Randolph's father was Col. Daniel Randolph Mitchell and his mother was Elizabeth Mann. His paternal grandparents were James Mitchell and Mary Mohler; his maternal grandparents were Arnold Mann and Rebecca Wright. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Lucius Cornelius, Leandas T., Lysander Valeneous, Leonidas Timoleon, Lycurgus James, Mary A., Georgia Ann, Minerva Elizabeth, Roxanna Rebecca, Mary Jane and Florence Taylor. He was the third youngest of the twelve children.-
