James ALMON & Frances RAWLINGS

James and Frances were married in a religious ceremony before 1845.¹ They had five sons and six daughters, named Ephraim, Thomas Newton, Lewis J., Robert, Josephus, Mary, Sarah, Arminta, Lucy Ann, Mollie and Lilly L..

- October 6, 1997, Cannon County published marriage records checked by Bill Spurlock (spurlock@@avana.net) and no record of the marriage was found in Cannon County.
  
  There is no record of the marriage in Rutherford County or the "Early Middle Tennessee Marriages" published by Sistler.
  
  However, the 1850 Tennessee Census shows James Allman and Fanny living in Rutherford County with children, Ephraim, age 4 and Mary, age 2. If Fanny is the mother of Ephraim, the marriage would have had to have taken place in 1845 or before.
