Lewis J. ALMON

Lewis J. was born on November 1st, 1855 in Cannon County, TN.¹ Lewis J.'s father was James ALMON and his mother was Frances RAWLINGS. His paternal grandfather was Thomas ALLMAN. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Ephraim, Thomas Newton, Robert, Josephus, Mary, Sarah, Arminta, Lucy Ann, Mollie and Lilly L.. He was the seventh oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 73 on June 17th, 1929 in Neboville, Gibson County, TN. His burial was on June 18th, 1929 in Yorkville Cemetery, Yorkville, Gibson, TN.¹¹

- LEWIS and his brother, Thomas N. raised large families in the Bells Chapel, Yorkville and Neboville communities of Gibson County, TN.
  
  In an e-mail from Phyllis ALLMON received November 4, 2003, she states that LEWIS and his brother Tom married sisters Emma and Elizabeth SHORT.
