Thomas Newton ALMON

Thomas Newton was born on August 10th, 1849 in TN.¹ Thomas Newton's father was James ALMON and his mother was Frances RAWLINGS. His paternal grandfather was Thomas ALLMAN. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Ephraim, Lewis J., Robert, Josephus, Mary, Sarah, Arminta, Lucy Ann, Mollie and Lilly L.. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 82 on October 13th, 1931 in Yorkville, Gibson County, TN. His burial was on October 14th, 1931 in Yorkville Cemetery, Gibson County, TN.¹²

- E-mail received from Janie Putnam, <jputman@@usit.net>, shows N. as the middle initial of Thomas.
  
  Phyllis ALLMON states in an e-mail received November 4, 2003 that Tom and Isabella (Izzy/Issy) had a daughter Minnie who died at a very early age and a set of triplets who died at birth or shortly after birth.
  
  She also states that Tom and his brother, LEWIS, married sisters Emma and Isabella SHORT
