She had five brothers and eight sisters, named Walter L., Benjamin E., Harry A, Clyde, Clide F, Elena S., Elizzabeth F, Ruth R, Bessie, Agnes Selma, Agnes C, Sarah A and Sarah. She was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children.
