Philip Read

Philip was born about 1721 in St. Mary's Co., MD.¹ Philip's father was John Read and his mother was Hannah Clarke. His maternal grandparents were Philip Clarke and Catherine Wilson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Charles, Ellen and Barbara. He was the second oldest of the five children.
