Charles Read

Charles was born about 1729 in St. Mary's Co., MD.¹ Charles' father was John Read and his mother was Hannah Clarke. His maternal grandparents were Philip Clarke and Catherine Wilson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Philip, Ellen and Barbara. He was the fourth oldest of the five children.
