Stephen Joy

Stephen was born in 1773 in St. Mary's Co., MD.¹ Stephen's father was John Baptist Joy and his mother was Sarah Greenwell. His paternal grandfather is Peter Joy and his paternal grandmother was Ann Stone. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Tarlton, John, Benedic, Mildred and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Peter, Joseph, Eleanor, Ann and Mary.
