Elizabeth Joy

Elizabeth was born in 1768 in St. Mary's Co., MD.¹ Elizabeth's father was John Baptist Joy and her mother was Sarah Greenwell. Her paternal grandfather is Peter Joy and her paternal grandmother was Ann Stone. She had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas Tarlton, John, Benedic, Stephen and Mildred. She was the third oldest of the six children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Peter, Joseph, Eleanor, Ann and Mary.
