Joseph Joy

Joseph was born on September 20th, 1755 in St. Mary's Co., MD.¹ Joseph's father was John Baptist Joy and his mother was Mary Hazel. His paternal grandfather is Peter Joy and his paternal grandmother was Ann Stone. He had a brother and three sisters, named Peter, Eleanor, Ann and Mary. He was the youngest of the five children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas Tarlton, John, Benedic, Stephen, Mildred and Elizabeth.
