Ole was born in 1732.  Ole's father was Borge Anderson and his mother was Gullbjorg Jorgensdotter. He had ten brothers and two sisters, named Jorgen, Anders, Jon, Knut, Hans, Peder, Rasmus, Ole, Sofie, Knut, Elen Katrine and Kari.  He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children.
