Jorgen was born in 1719 in Hunskår i Breim.  Jorgen's father was Borge Anderson and his mother was Gullbjorg Jorgensdotter. He had ten brothers and two sisters, named Anders, Jon, Knut, Hans, Peder, Ole, Rasmus, Ole, Sofie, Knut, Elen Katrine and Kari.  He was the oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 82 in 1801 in Hunskår i Breim.
