Her paternal grandparents were Jacobus Rogier van Blerk and Johanna Petronella van Niekerk (van Blerk); her maternal grandparents were John Allsop and Elizabeth Webster (Allsop). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Simon Johannes, John Alsop, Helena Johanna Alfrida and Mathilda Amelia. She died at the age of 84 on July 28th, 1934 in Onehunga, New Zeeland.General Notes
