Frederick was born in 1837 in Michelmersh, Hampshire.  Frederick's father was Joshua WREN and his mother was Charlotte NOYCE.  His paternal grandparents were Richard WREN and Mary SOUTHWELL. He had two brothers and four sisters, named James, George, Mary, Harriet, Frances and Elizabeth.  He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Charles.  He died at the age of 54 in 1891 in Romsey District.
