William Henry was born in 1853 in Pembroke Dock, Wales, UK.  William Henry's father was William Irwin Beresford SCOTT and his mother was Mary CHOWN.  His paternal grandparents were William SCOTT and Lavinia; his maternal grandparents are William CHOWN and Sarah WILLIAMS. He had a brother and five sisters, named William Irwin, Lavinia Sarah, Mary Jane, Lavinia Rebecca, Ann and Jane.  He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry, Alfred and Maria.  He died at the age of 87 on December 14th, 1940 in Pembroke District.
