Mary was born in 1819 in Portsea, Portsmouth, UK.1   Mary's father is William CHOWN and her mother is Sarah WILLIAMS.  Her paternal grandparents are Charles CHOWN and Joan CAMPION [CAMPING]; her maternal grandparents are James WILLIAMS and Hannah STEWARD. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, George, Sarah, Maria and Margaret.  Mary is no longer alive.
