Martin Henry was born on November 18th, 1852 in East Peckham, Kent, England.1   Martin Henry's father was James SAUNDERS and his mother was Elizabeth JEFFERY.  His maternal grandparents were John JEFFERY and Mary. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Robert, John, James, Thomas, Charles, William, Cecilia, Clara, Esther and Mary Ann.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 47 in July 1900 in Kent County Lunatic Asylum.  He was buried on August 3rd, 1900 in Holy Trinity, East Peckham.
