Ruth was born on April 16th, 1884 in Freeland, Oxfordshire.  Ruth's father was Jesse DIX and her mother was Eliza WHITE.  Her maternal grandparents were Joseph WHITE and Alice GARDNER. She had a brother and three sisters, named Charles E, Amy, Edith Jane and Dorothy.  She was the youngest of the five children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Thomas Benjamin, Alice, Mary Elizabeth, Florence Rosina and Blanch Ellen.  She died at the age of 101 in 1985 in West Oxfordshire District.
