Sarah was born in 1748 in Lenham, Kent.  Sarah's father was William BOORMAN and her mother was Mary SEXBY.  Her paternal grandparents are Isaac BOURMAN and Mary EARLS. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Francis, Thomas, Mary, Susannah and Elizabeth.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.
