Rhoda was born in 1790.  Rhoda's father was Stephen Chambers Newberry Sr and her mother was Sarah (Sallie) Chambers.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Newberry and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Elijah Chambers and Rebecca Moore. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Edward, Stephen, Elijah, William, James, Joseph, Mary, Polly, Matilda and Cynthia.  She died at the age of 70 in 1860.
