Jane was born in 1805.  Jane's father was James Christy and her mother was Mary McCall.  Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Christy and Mary Margaret Wilson. She had a brother and three sisters, named David, Nancy, Mary and Ann.  She was the youngest of the five children. She had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John, Andrew, William, Jermy, James, Joseph, Jannet and Sarah.  She died at the age of 65 in 1870.
