Male George Washington Gammon

George Washington was born on February 8th, 1819 in Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee, United States.1   George Washington's father was Dozier Brawner Gammon and his mother was Lavina Letitia Turbeville.  His paternal grandparents were Harris Gammon and Elizabeth Bettie Brawner. He had five brothers and a sister, named John W, James Wilkenson, William Eaton, Hugh C, Lee Harris and Minerva Jane.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 76 on August 18th, 1895 in Eden, Decatur, Iowa, United States.  He was buried in 1896 in Leon, Decatur, Iowa, United States.2
