Gwenllian verch RHYS

Gwenllian was born in 1158 in Llandilo, Carmarthenshire, , Wales. Gwenllian's father was Rhys ap Gruffydd and her mother was Gwenlian verch Madog. Her paternal grandparents were Prince Gruffydd ap Rhys and Gwenlian of Gwynedd verch Gruffydd; her maternal grandparents were Madog ap MAREDUDD and Susannah ferch GRUFFYDD. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Gruffydd ap, Hywel, Cadwgan, Rhys, Maredydd, Philip, Angharad, Tangwystl, Nest and Margred verch. She was the nineth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 78 in 1236 in Burton, Pembrokeshire, , Wales.
