Nest Rhys

Nest was born in 1156 in , Carmarthenshire, , Wales. Nest's father was Rhys ap Gruffydd and her mother was Gwenlian verch Madog. Her paternal grandparents were Prince Gruffydd ap Rhys and Gwenlian of Gwynedd verch Gruffydd; her maternal grandparents were Madog ap MAREDUDD and Susannah ferch GRUFFYDD. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Gruffydd ap, Hywel, Cadwgan, Rhys, Maredydd, Philip, Angharad, Tangwystl, Gwenllian and Margred verch. She is the eighth oldest of the eleven children.
