Marie was born on January 8th, 1699 in Rillaar.  Marie's father was Sébastien Vleminx and her mother was Elisabeth Camerlinckx.  Her paternal grandparents were Marcus Vleminx and Adriana Nys. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Jean, Jois, Jean, Marie, Anne, Anne and Ann Cornélie.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.
