Richard was born in year 1686 in Suffolk, Whatfield and was baptised on January 9th, 1686. Richard's father was James Garrad and his mother was Prudence. He was the third of twelve children. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Samuel, William, John, James, Mary, Prudence, Prudence, Dorothy and Frances. He died, at the age of 11 years, on July 9th, 1697 in Suffolk, Whatfield.
