John was born in year 1683 in Suffolk, Whatfield and was baptised on September 10th, 1683. John's father was James Garrad and his mother was Prudence. He was the oldest of twelve children. He had six brothers and five sisters, named William, Richard, Samuel, William, John, James, Mary, Prudence, Prudence, Dorothy and Frances. He died on September 30th, 1683 in Suffolk, Whatfield.
