George was born in year 1813 in Mawgan, Cornwall. George's father was George Whitaker and his mother was Jane Langdon. His maternal grandparents were William Langdon and Jane Bullock. He was the fourth of seven children. He had three brothers and three sisters, named George, George, William, Isabella, Emma and Mary. He died, at the age of 1 year, in year 1814 in Mawgan, Cornwall.
