Catherine was born in July 1771 in St Issey, Cornwall and was baptised on July 14th, 1771. Catherine's father was John Bullock and her mother was Phillipa Arthur. Her paternal grandparents were John Bullock and <Unknown>; her. She was the youngest of eight children. She had five brothers and two sisters, named David, John, Richard, Richard, William, Mary and Mary.
