Mary was born in April 1765 in St Issey, Cornwall and was baptised on April 14th, 1765. Mary's father was John Bullock and her mother was Phillipa Arthur. Her paternal grandparents were John Bullock and <Unknown>; her. She was the fifth of eight children. She had five brothers and two sisters, named David, John, Richard, Richard, William, Mary and Catherine.
