Mária Körtvélyesi

Mária was born in May 1869 in Kisvárda and her baptism took place there on May 9th, 1869.¹

Mária's father was László Körtvélyesi and her mother was Emilia Borcsik.  Her paternal grandparents were Mihály Mátyás Körtvélyessy and Mária Vályi. She had seven brothers and a sister, named József, József, László, István, Sándor, János, István and Ilona.  She was the second youngest of the nine children. She had a half-sister named Margit.  She died at 9 months old on February 26th, 1870 in Kisvárda.²
