István Körtvélyesi

István was born in November 1866 in Kisvárda and his baptism took place there on November 14th, 1866.¹

István's father was László Körtvélyesi and his mother was Emilia Borcsik.  His paternal grandparents were Mihály Mátyás Körtvélyessy and Mária Vályi. He had six brothers and two sisters, named József, József, László, István, Sándor, János, Mária and Ilona.  He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Margit.
