Stephen was born on October 2nd, 1770.  Stephen's father was John H. Pace and his mother was Susanna Houchin.  His paternal grandfather was Joseph Pace and his paternal grandmother is Ann Bashford; his maternal grandfather was Edward Houtchin and his maternal grandmother is Hannah Aner. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named William, Edward, George, Susannah, Murry, Charles, James, Elizabeth, Francis, Rachel, Mary and Ann.  He died at the age of 39 in 1809.
