John was born in 1667.  John's father was Richard Pace and his mother was Mary Knowles.  His paternal grandparents were George Pace and Sarah Maycock; his maternal grandparents were Rev. John Knowles and Mary Broadnax. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Richard, George, Thomas, James, John, Sarah, Anne and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 52 on January 20th, 1719.
