Joseph was born in 1698.  Joseph's father was John Pace and his mother was Elizabeth Newsome.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Pace and Mary Knowles; his maternal grandparents were William Robert Newsome and Anne Shepard. He had a sister named Margaret.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother named John.  He died at the age of 67 on December 18th, 1765.
