Mary Field Watkins

Mary Field was born on March 30th, 1855 in Dittisham, Devon. Mary Field's father was Thomas Elford Watkins and her mother was Harriet Best. Her paternal grandparents were William Watkins and Mary Holmes; her maternal grandparents were William Best and Susanna Finch. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William Thomas Elford, Alfred, Arthur, Susan Rose Best, Mary, Maria Jane, Maria and Anna Rose. She was the second oldest of the nine children.
